TeamOK supports both instant and scheduled calls across the Direct and Chats sections, offering flexible communication options for teams of any size.
Instant Calls
For an existing Direct message or group Chat, the most efficient method to start an instant call is by clicking the call icon located at the top right corner of the chat window.
Alternatively, you may click the + icon in the top left of the interface and select Start a call. Enter a call name, search for a teammate, and click Start Call next to their name for one-on-one communication. In group Chats, search and select multiple teammates, then click the Start button at the bottom to launch the group call.
You may also select Start a call in the three-dot menu next to a group name.
Any participant in a Direct conversation can initiate a call. The same applies to group Chats, unless the 'Only admins can call' option has been enabled via the gear Settings icon > Chat customization (also available during the chat creation).
In such cases, only assigned chat admins may initiate calls.
Scheduled Calls
To schedule a call in an existing Chat or Direct conversation, click the calendar icon at the top right of the window.
Alternatively, click the + icon at the top left or use the three-dot menu beside a group name and choose Schedule a call. Specify the call name, estimated duration, start time, and date. In Direct conversations, search for a teammate and click Schedule a call next to their name. In group Chats, select multiple participants, then finalize by clicking the Schedule a call button at the bottom.
All upcoming scheduled calls are displayed in the My Scheduled Calls widget on the Home Dashboard. Use the Today and This Week views to navigate and manage your call calendar. Click any call entry to view details, including participant lists. You can also confirm or decline participation directly from this view.
The Public Calls widget shows ongoing and recently completed calls from public chats where you're not a participant.
